In Holmavik, north west Iceland, a sorcerer's cottage was rebuilt with techniques that date back to the XVII century AD.

The cottage provides an overview of how harsh and difficult life was for poor tenants in Iceland. The furnishing and magical signs on the beams reflect the permanent exhibition in the Museum in Holmavik which explains local attitude towards the magic arts. Objects and original grimoires are exhibited and accurately explained to the visitors in many languages.
